7 Days / 6 Nights · 5 Full Days Fishing · November to April · From USD 2,500 per angler
Five hours from Dubai, the Maldives offers something no amount of local fishing can replace: water clear enough to watch a GT commit to a popper from ten metres away, over reef edges that fall from three metres to a hundred in a single boat length.
This is a fishing trip, not a resort holiday with a boat attached. Five full days on the water across four atolls, targeting giant trevally on the surface, yellowfin tuna in the blue, and dogtooth and reef species on the drop. You'll fish different ground every day and see a different side of the Maldives each time.
Over five days we work Faafu, Dhaalu, Meemu and Thaa atolls — four distinct fishing environments rather than one area fished repeatedly. Reef edges and channel mouths for GT and bluefin trevally on poppers and stickbaits. Open blue water for yellowfin tuna on casting gear. Deep structure for dogtooth tuna, snapper, grouper and jobfish on jigs.
The programme mixes techniques deliberately: a light jigging day to settle in, then full days of casting, yellowfin, jigging and light casting. Days may shift depending on the forecast — we fish where the conditions are best rather than to a fixed schedule.
November to April is the window. Calmer seas, more settled weather and the most reliable fishing of the year. Outside these months the Indian Ocean monsoon makes the crossings uncomfortable and the fishing unpredictable.
A 36ft sportfisher, running a maximum of four anglers. That number is deliberate — four is what lets everyone cast at a working school without crossing lines, and what means you're fishing rather than waiting your turn. Trips that put six or eight on a boat are selling you a seat, not a day's fishing.
International flights are not included. Direct from Dubai with Emirates, around five hours, or from Abu Dhabi with Wizz Air.
Your domestic transfer is included. Our representative meets you at Malé International Airport and gets you onto your internal flight to Kudahuvadhoo — roughly 35 minutes. On departure, one of our staff stays with you until international check-in. You are not navigating Maldivian domestic transfers alone at either end.
A comfortable 3-star guesthouse in Kudahuvadhoo, twin rooms as standard. Single room upgrades available at additional cost.
This is a local island rather than a resort — which means you're staying somewhere real, close to the fishing, without resort prices attached to a trip you'll barely spend daylight hours at.
All meals included, every day.
Your catch is often cooked Maldivian style. It's one of the better parts of the trip.

Maximum four anglers per boat. A private charter for a group of four can be arranged — ask us.
Bring your own, or hire from us. Rental gear is available and perfectly serviceable, but most anglers prefer fishing their own setups — particularly for GT, where you want a rod and drag you already trust when a fish is heading for the reef.
We can also set you up properly before you go. We run this trip, so we know exactly what works in these atolls — which rods handle the GT ground, which jig weights suit the drops, which lures the fish there actually eat. Come into the store on Al Mina Road and we'll build a kit around the trip rather than selling you a generic package.
That advice costs nothing whether you buy from us or not. But it's worth having before you spend three thousand dollars on a trip and find your gear isn't rated for what's on the other end.
What you'll want: popping and casting setups for GT and surface work, jigging gear for the deep drops, and heavier terminal tackle than most anglers carry at home.
Places are limited and the November–April window fills early. Message us on WhatsApp or visit our Abu Dhabi store on Al Mina Road — we'll talk you through the fishing, the tackle you'll want, and what to expect before you commit.
